Our Background
The (Strategic alternative learning Techniques) SALT VTC was founded in the year 2017 by a mother of the son diagnosed with signs of Down syndrome. Her experience on raising her son and challenges encountered in getting an appropriate school for him ignited her passion to advocate for a need to develop a vocational training and production center on behalf of all Developmentally disabled people that focus on meeting their diverse needs. Developmentally disabled people are those with Down syndrome (DS), cerebral palsy (CP), intellectual impairment (I I), severe epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) and other rare developmental disorders like Micro cephaly, dyslexia and dravet syndrome.

To enhance the quality of life of people with developmental disability through provision rehabilitation services, vocational training and production, entrepreneurship, counseling, advocacy and advisory services.
